Protest against Uber and Lyft!
The union of New York City IDG (Independent Drivers Guild), Justice for App Workers and Miami Ride-share Union is calling for a peaceful march next

The purpose of the march is to hold a conference with various media outlets and expose some of the problems we are facing in the city of Miami. We want to call on the legislators of the cities of Miami, Broward and West Palm Beach, the governor of Florida, and the mayor of the city Levine Cava to once and for all provide their support. This will help achieve a change in the service of Ride-share.
We invite drivers whose accounts have been unfairly suspended. We can help them recover their accounts with the IDG union. It is not 100% safe, but they have the possibility of managing it.
All drivers, absolutely all drivers, are being exploited. We are all victims of a fraud system. The Uber and Lyft applications are created with many manipulation strategies, with a lot of psychology and managed mainly by AI (Artificial Intelligence) systems. These systems are prepared to simply abuse customers and drivers to their maximum capacity.
It is important that they understand that the situation with Uber, Lyft or any other company is not going to get better eventually. The more drivers they are able to include on the platform, the worse the situation will become. Uber has an unethical and unprofessional practice, and it saturates the market with drivers in order to offer low payments for trips and increase their profits. Through this practice, they manage to get rid of drivers who no longer accept low-paid trips and take advantage of the ignorance, lack of knowledge and need of new drivers. For a 10 mile trip, I paid $10. I have hundreds of new drivers, now I pay $9. I add more drivers and I will pay $8 and so on they replace drivers and lower what they pay. What is the limit? They do not have. They can pay even $0.25 a mile if they want.
The following email was the response from Rep. Vicki Lopez who represents Miami District 113 to our petition to support improving the ride-share market in Miami and providing better protections to drivers of Uber, Lyft, and other Ride-share platforms.
District 113 is an area with a fairly high volume of ride-share drivers. It is also one of the areas with the greatest movement and use of these services. It is sad to see how some politicians selected to watch over and protect their constituents simply turn their backs on the problems that are affecting both drivers and customers who use these services.
